With electric vehicle sales steadily on the rise in international markets, parkers will soon want to park and charge in one go, with a single session and payment for both services. With an EV App, operators with EV charging stations in their car parks can offer their customers online tracking and payment for charging sessions.
Simplify EV Charging
GMP EV simplifies the process of discovering and using its value-added services by offering them through a user-friendly digital interface. The parking app streamlines the interaction between charging point operators, e-mobility service providers, and consumers.
Car parks with EV charging stations show up on the EV app with unique thunderbolt icons that distinguish them from normal parking spots so that users can easily identify them. On selecting the parking, users can view details about the car park and its EV charging services.
Park and Charge
Our platform provides two ways in which operators can offer their EV charging services – as a stand-alone value-added service where the parker has to pay only for their charging session on EV App, or as an addition to parking sessions, in which case the customer has to pay for parking and charging both.
In the first case, the user will only have to pay for the electricity consumed during the charging period. In the latter case, the user has to pay fairly for the parking session in addition to the electricity consumed. The smart parking management system will calculate the cost of the parking session and the cost of EV charging separately.
Easy to use
After navigating to the parking lot, users can scan the QR code present on the charging station to get started with their session. If the user faces any trouble scanning the QR code, they can select the charging station manually from the list of available charging stations displayed on the consumer app. If they have any issues with scanning the QR code, parkers can choose the charging plug manually on the consumer app.
On proceeding, the user will get information about the charging station, the selected plug and its capacity, details about the vehicle, payment method, and price. After verifying all the details, users can plug the charger into the vehicle to get started.
Lightning-fast payments, easy invoices
Users can stop the charging session through the consumer app or by removing the charging plug from their vehicles. Payment can be completed online using the parking app using any payment method of their choice. The invoice sent to the user’s registered email address will contain separate receipts for the parking session and the charging session, which is useful in countries where citizens can avail tax exemption for promoting green initiatives and clean transportation.
Operators can track the VAS sessions in real-time through our centralized admin portal, which displays details like the amount of energy consumed during the charging session and how much the user paid based on the charging rates. Every EV charging session will have a unique VAS session ID using which customer service admins can track down a particular session if a customer has raised a complaint that requires monetary resolution. They can also offer full refunds to the customer directly from the admin dashboard if they have been granted access to those features at a company level.
